Currently, I’m working on my third novel.
When I looked up from the page and realised how long it was since I last blogged, I was genuinely shocked. Future editions of this blog will include:

In the meantime however, I thought I’d focus on a different topic, a celebration of creativity.
I live in Stratford-upon-Avon, a pretty town, well-known for its connections to Shakespeare.
And this year is particularly special, because in 2016 we celebrate 400 years of the Bard and his works.
The town is expected to be awash with visitors, all keen to learn more about Shakespeare, but I’d like to mention something else, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s first staff and volunteer exhibition, held in Hall’s Croft.
Hall’s Croft is a lovely building, with an equally lovely spacious garden, and was once the home of Susanna Hall, one of Shakespeare’s two daughters, who lived there with her husband, John. The exhibition, held in the café, showcases a wealth of talent, from paintings and photography to ceramics. and includes an image of Shakespeare and an interactive folio for visitors, where they can give their impressions of the man.
There are many other works to see including an intruiging sketch, a beautiful cushion and lovely jewellery.
If you’re in Stratford, the exhibition is open until 21 February, and you can enjoy a refreshing cuppa while looking at the works on view.
It’s a celebration of creativity, and hopefully the first of many.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10am-4pm.
